I am doing a home remodel, which includes some outside work. I needed to replace a water spigot, and bought one at a local big box store. After installing it I noticed that it was leaking. Rats! Back to the store to buy a new one. I installed it and that one also leaked! That was it for me. I drove the extra miles to a reputable plumbing supply house to buy a third spigot and installed it. Problem solved. Luckily, I have access to quality materials if I want to drive a bit. How many people only have access to a big box store? It is a shame that these chain store’s quality is going downward.
