My Moto is that if I need to do something, it should be done correctly. I’m finding that many in the trades want to do a job as easily as possible, and ignore the detail that separates a well done job from a poorly done one. See the photos below for more information.

The refinished wainscoting was cut to fit.
I made an electrical outlet template for my router. I secured it using easily removable tape on both the template and the wainscoting. I then attached the opposing sides of tape using adhesive. This secured the template while providing easy removability.
The outlet hole neatly cut. No one would notice if I made a more messy cut using a jigsaw, as it would be hidden, but I would know.
Job done. Sometimes a little more effort yields a much better outcome.
