Part of any remodel is deconstruction of the former build. I am currently remodeling a utility room for a customer. In the process I removed the dryer hose. Take a look at the photo below. In it you can see that it is full of lint.
It is common to think that the dryer’s lint screen removes all of the lint in the system. However, this is not the case. Lint is highly combustible and it can catch fire. You may want to consider cleaning your dryer’s vent hose to make sure that it is safe.
