Last week I showed you the damage that can happen to a joist when it is not properly flashed.

To repair the area below the patio door we had to jackhammer the stoop to remove it.  The old joist was taken out, and it was replaced with a new board of treated lumber.  This board will be properly flashed once the new stoop is poured.  What would appear as a simple job is a lot more complicated.  If the original piece had been installed properly, this repair would be unnecessary.

If you have any repair or construction needs, please feel free to give me a call for a free estimate.
