I have been surprised at the mess that other contractors leave after they finish a job. Their customers pay for a job, and then they have the work of cleaning up a huge mess afterwards.
It does take time to prepare a site to keep it clean. And it takes time to clean up afterwards. However, that should be the job of the person who made the mess, not the customer.
The photo below is of a magnetic sweeper. This device is used to sweep lawns after a roofing job. No one wants a nail projectile fired from their lawn mower. However, this device can be used indoors too. In the photo below I’m using it to sweep an area that has been demolished and is in the process of restoration. Keeping an area clear benefits not only the customer, but it also creates a safer environment for the workers doing the job.
