Sometimes it only takes only a little effort to add some finishing touches to a room. I was working on a utility room/laundry room. I wanted to finish the area behind the dryer while still allowing access to the dryer vent. As an aside, you should clean out the dryer vent frequently as a lint filled vent can become a fire hazard.

My solution was found in some scrap flooring planks that I had lying around. I glued a number of scraps together and stained it with linseed oil. I screwed in the panel to make it easily removable for future access. Check out the photos for details.

This is the before shot. Although the dryer would hide this space it was unfinished.
Job done with little effort on my part. The panel is screwed in making it very easy to remove if needed.
