Most non-professional want to buy the paint and start painting. Some may do a little prep work or they may buy trimming gadgets the promise professional results. As a construction professional for over 30 years I am here to report that both efforts will likely lead lead to poor results.
The majority of time spent painting doesn’t involve paint it involves prep work. My painters spend about 80 percent of their time making sure that walls are patched and that other surfaces are protected. This is painstaking and monotonous work but it must be done to get a professional result. See the photos below.
