A new referral wanted me to quote a bathroom remodel job at his lake home. I needed to check out some of the infrastructure of his cottage and turned off the main water supply. Unfortunately, with little force I broke off the handle. My potential customer was planning on spending the weekend at his summer place, but now he had no water. It needed to be fixed so I drove the 2 hours back to Chicago and picked up my tools.

I recently purchased a pro-press, a very cool device that press-fits pipes without soldering. That was a Godsend as I was able to drive back and complete the job and make my potential customer happy.

See photos below.

All it took was a simple turn of a valve and the handle came off.
I cut out the old valve.
Here is the new value with a new press fitting.
I also had to add some extra pipe and the press fittings made that job simple.
Here is the job completed. My referral is now happy and he is also my new customer.
