A long standing customer of mine lives in a wonderful mid-century ranch home. The home is a great combination of new updates and original features. Many of the homes casement windows are in good shape, but some needed repair due to their location and exposure to the environment.

The double casement windows located at the font of the house were mechanically sound, but the sill and brick molding were rotten. To resolve this problem we made new pieces out of cellular PVC board. This material has the benefits of plastic and can be cut and used like wood.

Below are some photos of this process and the final results. The PVC plastic will be painted this spring to match the home’s current paint.
