I’m working on a project that has an exterior concrete wall that couldn’t be covered in a traditional way due to space constraints. I decided that one option would be to use an exterior synthetic stucco to give that wall a finished look. I added a base coat to the concrete and purchased the synthetic stucco, which comes white in a bucket. The seller gave me a vial of color that I mixed in using a standard mixing blade on a mixer. I applied the stucco with a standard trowel. You need to be a bit artistic and random to get the right look. However, it is possible for a DIYer to do the job. See my before and after photos.
