I recently replaced a door for a customer. Typically, this would involve removing the old door frame and installing a new one. However, if the size of the door is the same and if the frame is in reasonably shape it is possible to keep the frame which may reduce costs and speed the installation. I did that for this customer. I did have to do some micro-adjustments of the new door, but this is to be expected. See photos below.

The old door was falling apart.
The new door installed.
